Was at Pavilion this month for the cosplay anime costume celebration where anime fans came out in outrageous and a kaleidoscope of colour portraying their favourite anime characters.
It was good to see they youngsters daring to live their fantasy pun intended in an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment. There is a really a big fan group of anime in BolehLand and it cuts across race, religion or language though they all find a commonality of trying to imitate their character speaking in Korean or Nihon-jin lingo. And of course, role playing the character. It's amazing you are seeing the anime characters in life! That's originality as close as you can get!
When you soak in the atmosphere of the event, you just want to withhold the negativity that these young kids are just too living in a fantasy world. But theirs is cool clean enjoyable fun and entertainment.
Compared to the bucketful of negativity of our colour characters aka politicians who have been trying hard to impose their ideology from religion to colour and language as fact, while most see them as fantasy and fiction hah!
So the past events that as usual have been blown out of proportion seem to be the fodder our politicians use to make us all make believe how the real world in Bolehland should be and is like.
Take the canteen in the shower room or whatever name of the room you want to call it. Every school kid has his or her story of the ugly side they witness from some teachers spewing religious and racial slur and intolerance. Parents will be able to share their share of some teachers preaching hatred or sowing the seeds of racial sterotyping and sentiments in the schoolkids.
And if you speak to teachers, they are mum to expose the moral wrong of official policies including the little Napoleons HMs who are teaching the kids to feel what it is to belong to a race, religion or mother tongue during civics or non civics lessons.
Don't talk about the PTA as some are as dysfunctional as some of the teachers or HMs and even those in the MOE.
Noone wants to tell the truth or even believe in it anymore! When you tag race, religion and language into everything, you are going to polarise the people.
Even this Alvivi fiasco where this couple think BolehLand is like their bedroom where they can do what they like and accept others to tolerate them is deepening the divide of innocent bystanders. Suddenly everyone is an expert of chinese bak-kut-teh. So many million words trying to halal-fy it hah!
If one is a purist or a zealot believer, where the original meaning of a word or name signify what it is, an immutable meaning, then can one feel halal eating wan tan mee in Madam Kwan or popiah or chow kueh teow or dim sum?
The issue is not whether it is a halal bkt called a chick ku teh or ayam ku teh or kambing ku teh or lembu ku teh or bumi ku teh, it is the innuendo. Even if colleagues suggested it may be claypot chicken rice or claypot yee mee, the give away was who were the ones eating or making the wishes.
The issue is the warped sense of righting the wrong! or doing it the wrong way to right whatever it is hah! Our two protagonist think they some bigshot kids who can get away with it we can supposed! Hope they know that you can't win the government of the day hah! even if you think you are right or wrong! You play with our bak kut teh you get singed with the satay stick hah! Padan muka as we say hah!
Are they doing it to remind BolehLand folks of the selective prosecution and hypocrisy in upholding fairness and justice in BolehLand huh? Perhaps they have been staying too long in their room boinking each other and thinking they are saints in heaven seeing all the stars while getting horny high eh? hah!
But, precisely in BolehLand, if it were some UMNO BN fellows doing such things, it would be halalfied right? The fact that some of the UMNO protected and BN politicians ex including ex premier and existing ones who WTF or Willfully Tactlessly or Taunt Freely other religion or races, they are hailed as modern Hang Tuahs, ketuanans and caliphs protecting a certain race or religion.
There in lies, pun intended the hypocrisy. Are not whatever laws they are using, including using three to kena those two taunters kau-kau and justice must be seen to be fair to all- Not selective prosecution huh?
Are not the supposedly two young rebels a result of a long drawn irresponsible behaviour of our leaders too? And there are those who want to even stone the parents for their child's behaviour. Why the parents of this couple and not those whose kids drive around million ringgit owned or loaned mean machines huh?
What about the education system, those teachers who preach divisive subliminal hate and racist attitudes among the children? Or the BTN and the MSMedia?
Or even our economic policy that openly practices cronyism, apartheid and based on one's race than see the building of our nation is a Malaysian effort not a crutch mentality approach huh?
And why is it when one race uses whatever opportunity there is open to them to progress and yet are asked to kow tow to leaders like as if BolehLand is an extension of the fifth column or vassal state of ancient past Imperial kingdoms huh?
If one knows an objective history, the Chinese sought to break away from the feudal rule. In BolehLand where they choose their new home, hah it's out of the wok into the satay charcoal fire! Now they are required to kow tau and bow before the UMNO leaders who are the modern feudal rulers reminding everyone mind you, not only the Chinese, even the Malays and Indians to show their gratitude and bow to their request to vote them as leaders ad infinitum! Or else you kena kau kau at the least of indiscretions or committing sedition in their eyes!
And we laugh at the Pharaohs, Alexander, Shi Huang Ti {ok ole name I know}, Napoleon, Hitler and Uncle Mao and Kim for wanting to rule a 1000 years. No need so far as in BolehLand, we have a party who wants Unlimited Mandate No Opposition to its dictates to ensure its thousand year rule hah! Odd, the Malays, Chinese and Indians are always reminded to be grateful for what UMNO has done for them. Not the Banglayu, Pakisputras, BumiLankans or Melayupinos, those instant fast track new bumis? Thought our new sons of the soils should kneel longer since they have been bestowed instant BolehLand rights and privileges hah!
Like the main plots in anime stories, the evil and dark forces are always out to rule the world while the heroes and heroines are out to protect mankind from such evil ambitions. And we can supposed our young generation in their anime costumes are not cosplaying a fantasy but we also see them battling those who sought to submit them to their will by threatening them with the race, religion, language, education and even their economic livelihood.
At least in Tokyo Street in Pavilion KL, cosplay is innocent entertainment with the real intention to fight evil and for justice. In BolehLand, our politicians are playing the deadly game with real intentions to subvert justice and brand their evil actions as halal and sanctioned by God and their man made constitution and oh their institutions they set up supposedly to protect the country and people hah!
